Why do Aragorn and Legolas always end up in dangerous situations? Will Elrond finally put his foot down?

It's all here: the unbelievable injuries, the angst/humor/healing tea, Elrond's eyebrows, The Els, Aragorn's conveniently-missing mother ("she's just too hard to write").

I enjoy reading Aragorn Legolas friendship fics, but there is a certain amount of cliche that's developed in the fanon, and it's fun to see that exposed.

LOL. Oh yes, the genre tends to be a wee bit unrealistic:) But I love it to pieces nonetheless:)

I love it, too! I think that the parody author must have read a lot of these fics in order to write such a spot-on parody. Which means that s/he must have read a lot of these fics, too!

I haven't read hers yet because it's still a WIP. But I've read other parodies and since I like to look on my fandom with a twinkle in my eye, I enjoy those tremendously!

A bit?? *snicker* I am still thinking the cliche genre would make agood Teitho, done the right way, of course. *eg*

But yes, Peredhel lovers story is great. Simply fanficfantasic! :o)

I also think it would make a good Teitho, but it'll be complicated...

I'll have to check it out. I adore Aragorn-Legolas friendship fics... but I agree, the cliches! They don't bother me, except for the sometimes very modern language authors have them saying. I just can't see Legolas yelling, "Hey!" or Aragorn saying, "Yeah."

Never happen.

I hope that you enjoy it!

I'm still on the Mellon Chronicles mailing list and still read a lot of these. I have become a little more picky, however.

Oh, the modern slang! I'd add "Okay," and "all right" to those. I can usually ignore it if the fic is good otherwise, but it is an irritant.

Best parody fic I've ever read. She's been one of my favorite authors since her first story and if you read the dramatic ones, you'll find this little foray into parody even more amazing. She's an incredible writer. And oh, sorry to say, that I too am guilty of the 'Mother? What mother?' syndrome. But to echo Michelle, I still love a well written LOTR fanfic, and am more than willing to overlook the 'occasional' cliche.

I didn't realize that she was the author of "Day and Night" and other stories.

Thanks for pointing out her other stories!
